New bat rule for 10u hard ball USA bats only see website
Due to a rule change by USA Baseball, our local governing body for boys baseball the "SEBA League" adopted the rule change affective Jan 2019. This affects only Baseball 10u, 12u,
14u and High School level will follow the BBCOR drop 3 restrictions.
All bats use for 10u, 12u must have the below logo on them
14u and above will be BBCOR bats and will have the BBCOR logo on them. 14u and above may use a 2 1/4 inch USA approved bat if they choose.
All BBCOR baseball bats will carry the "BBCOR Certified .50" mark (pictured above) somewhere on their barrel or taper. Additional requirements for a bat to become BBCOR Certified include a length to weight ratio that is no greater than -3 and a barrel diameter that does not exceed 2”. So the answer to the very common question "Where can I find a BBCOR bat that has a -5 length to weight ratio?" is that "Those regrettably do not exist. All BBCOR bats are required to be -3 or heavier".
All SEBA rules are in the process of being updated prior to our league meeting
