Dear Trenton Baseball, Tee Ball and Softball Families,
The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is rapidly changing the way that we, as global citizens, go about our daily lives. This also impacts the 2020 TBA Baseball, Tee Ball and Softball seasons.
With the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the TBA Board of Directors has suspended/delayed the 2020 seasons in compliance with Governor Whitmer’s orders. This means we could start no earlier than May 18th. We will continue to consult with appropriate medical advisors and government health officials to ensure the safety and well-being of our players, families, volunteers, and fans.
As this situation evolves, the TBA remains committed to sharing the best guidance possible for all of our members. It is our sincere hope that we can find ways to bring everyone back to the fields this season, whether it’s later this spring or sometime in the summer. All scenarios are under consideration, but we are currently not in a position to make hard, fast decisions to our timeline.
Should our season resume, be assured we will be instituting safety protocols to assure the safety of coaches, families, fans, and players. The safety of our “family” has and will remain a major focus of the TBA.
If we are forced to cancel the 2020 season, we will issue refunds or account credits. These will be handled on an individual basis. Be mindful this task will take some time as each registration will have to be modified individually.
We remain hopeful that we can begin the 2020 season once all restrictions are lifted. All of us will be engaging in a new “normal”, so please contact us with any questions or concerns. We hope to work together to give the kids the season they deserve!
If we have Refunds to process the following options will be used.
2020 COVID 19 Refunds options will be:
1. Full credit on your account for the 2021 season even if fees are raised and we expect fees to be raised.
2. A refund applied to the credit card you used to register minus processing and website fees.
$50.00 Tee-ball registration fee refund would be $45.55
$100 8u House registration fee refund would be $94.91.
$130.00 10u-14u House registration fee refund would be $122.92
Travel refunds will depend on what the team has done and used for the season. Some Travel teams have uniforms and have played in fall and winter events so those team coaches and our board will have to speak on a per-team basis. Some have paid for events using TBA fees and those events are pending refunds.
